Presenter Bruce Scott is a Special Agent with Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) based out of New York, NY. HSI is part of Immigration & Customs Enforcement, which is in turn part of the US Department of Homeland Security. Bruce has over 22 years of experience working in federal law enforcement for HSI and one of its predecessor agencies, the US Immigration & Naturalization Service. He has worked in a number of programmatic areas within HSI, including critical infrastructure, national security, financial crimes, child exploitation, and worksite enforcement and, he is currently assigned as the IMAGE coordinator for the New York Metro area, conducting outreach and education to employers about the I-9 Form, E-Verify and the IMAGE Program. He has been the IMAGE coordinator for over five years and has assisted approximately 60 employers in joining the IMAGE Program. He has spoken to thousands of HR Professionals and company executives about what it takes for employers to be in compliance with law. Bruce has a business background and is very pro-business, and he really enjoys helping employers before they are the subject of a Form I-9 compliance audit. It is his goal, and the goal of IMAGE, to help employers be more prepared if audited, and to minimize the potential risk of significant fines being imposed.

Otieno B. Ombok is a Principal in the White Plains, New York, office of Jackson Lewis P.C. Mr. Ombok focuses his practice on all aspects of employment-based non-immigration and immigrant visa petitions. He also advises on I-9 compliance issues as well as outbound immigration matters. He has a natural facility in addressing client issues, such as advising both U.S. and foreign employers with regard to immigration matters. He has a natural facility in addressing client issues pertaining to healthcare visas for medical professionals, researchers and scientists.
Mr. Ombok has taught business law as an Adjunct Professor with the United States International University in Nairobi and worked with various nonprofit groups running educations, democracy and governance programs in Africa. He is a Distinguished Fellow of the Cambridge Commonwealth Society (FCCS).
