Selecting the best candidate for a job opening (internal or external) is like putting them through a large funnel of successive screening processes until the best one emerges. This workshop will help employers dramatically improve their ability to make good candidate selections. We will cover recruiting sources, resume and phone screens and the job interview. Participants will learn why traditional interviews don’t provide a true picture of how a candidate will actually perform on the job. This is a very practical session designed to teach you how to conduct more effective interviews by utilizing a technique known as Behavioral Interviewing. Participants will learn how to identify the skills and characteristics they are seeking, develop an interview plan that includes specific questions, and then evaluate the candidates.
