Description:
The Council of Industry has offered quality supervisory training to its members in the Hudson Valley for over 20 years. The Certificate in Manufacturing Leadership is a comprehensive group of courses that prepares supervisors for their challenging positions at manufacturing facilities.

The program is designed to offer particular skill sets through concentrations of courses. Participants who complete the required courses are presented with the Certificate in Manufacturing Leadership presented by the Council of Industry and Dutchess Community College.

All courses are full-day classes (from 9am - 4:30pm) and are held at Dutchess Community College, Poughkeepsie, NY with breakfast and lunch included on site.

Though participants are encouraged to complete the course series for the most comprehensive supervisory education, the Council welcomes individual course registration as well.

To Qualify For Your Certificate In Manufacturing Leadership Follow These 3 Steps:
1. Take all (3) Core Courses
    - Fundamentals of Leadership
     - Environmental Safety & Health Management for Supervisors
     - Making a Profit Financial & Accounting Issues in Manufacturing

2. Take (4) of (5) Elective Tier I courses
    - Problem Solving and Decision Making
    - Positive Motivation and Discipline
    - Effective Business Communication
    - High Performance Work Teams
    - Legal Management Issues

3. Take (2) of (4) Elective Tier II courses
    - Worksite Training Skills
    - Introduction to Lean Manufacturing
    - Best Practices & Continuous Improvement
    - Managing Diversity
