pRODUCT dESIGN eNGINEERS

 

SELUX is seeking a Mechanical Product Design Engineer as well as an Electrical Product Design Engineer to design and develop both new and existing product lines.

The ideal candidates for an Electrical Product Design Engineer will possess the following skills and experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering and five years related experience.
  • Mechanical aptitude for building of prototypes
  • Thermal transfer principals
  • Knowledge of and experience in designing architectural lighting
  • Computer knowledge, Solid Works or other 3D modeling, Microsoft Office
  • Manufacturing Principals
  • Knowledge of industry standards (UL, NEC)

The ideal candidates for a Mechanical Product Design Engineer will possess the following skills and experience:

  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering
  • LC is a plus
  • 5+ years product design experience
  • 5+ years of experience in metal fabrication and electro/mechanical manufacturing assembly
  • Lighting Experience is preferred but not required

Engineer manager

SELUX is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead, direct and enspire a team of about 15 engineers in the design and development of both new and existing product lines.  The manager will also be responsible for providing performance reviews and setting necessary goals which are in line with company strategy and professional development needs.

The idea candidate will possess the following skills and experience:

  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering
  • 10+ years product design experience
  • 10+ years of experience in metal fabrication and electro/mechanical manufacturing assembly
  • 5+ years in engineering management
  • 5+ years of Lighting Experience
  • Product submission for UL/CSA Listing
  • Computer skills; Solid Works, AutoCAD, Microsoft Office and MRP program
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes; milling, drilling, extrusions, casting, sheet metal processing, product assembly, welding and fabricating
  • Solid foundation in mechanical design and familiarity with electrical design
  • General Lighting theory
  • UL1598 Luminaries and NEC
